Information for final-year students of pedagogical universities


The National Qualification Test is a procedure aimed at determining the level of professional competence of future teachers, based on tests developed by the authorised educational authority in accordance with the Rules and Conditions for Certification of Teachers.

The National Qualification Test consists of two blocks, 100 test tasks in total: the first block «Content of Academic subject» consists of 70 tasks; the second block «Pedagogy, Teaching Methodology» consists of 30 tasks.

The test tasks in the «Content of Academic Subject» will be aimed at checking the in-depth academic knowledge as well as practical abilities and skills.

For this purpose, tasks of 3 forms are used:
1) with a choice of one correct answer;
2) with a choice of one or more correct answers;
3) contextual tasks with a choice of one correct answer.

The variety of forms and content of tasks will enable to exclude the moment of guessing and memorisation of training material and provide an opportunity to assess the real knowledge and capabilities of teachers.

The total time for the national qualification testing is two hundred and ten minutes and two hundred and forty minutes for subjects «Mathematics», «Physics», «Chemistry» and «Informatics».
