Abai University Lecturer Conducts Seminar in Zhambyl Region

On October 31 and November 1, seminars aimed at training qualified specialists in religious issues were held in the conference hall of the Ark MS Hotel in Taraz. The seminars were implemented on the initiative of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee on Religious Affairs and the Public Foundation "Rukhani Zhangyru" within the framework of the project "Training Qualified Specialists in Religious Issues". It was attended by members of information and explanatory groups, imams, psychologists, theologians of the Zhambyl region. At the meeting, a member of the republican information and explanatory group on religious issues, a lecturer at our university, PhD Tungysh Abylov gave a lecture on the topic "New trends in Islam: main characteristics and ideological features". At the seminar, along with the reasons for the emergence of trends in Islam, the theoretical and methodological foundations of the study, problems of classification, as well as the current situation were discussed. In addition, during the seminar, the participants asked questions to the lecturer and received appropriate answers.
