The Turkic world and modernity

On February 20, 2025, in connection with the opening of the "Science Week" in the cinema hall of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, the Department of "History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences" together with the Department of "Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines" of the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai held a scientific seminar on "The Turkic world and modernity" with the participation of students and undergraduates , as well as doctoral students of higher education institutions Almaty and co-chairman of the Philosophical Society of Turkic Peoples, Deputy Chairman of the Kazakh Philosophical Congress, Professor of Philosophy at the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of Cultural Studies Gabitov Tursun Hafizovich.

Bauyrzhan Bozhbanbayev, a senior lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines, and Magzhan Muratbekov, a doctoral student at the department, participated in the organization of the event. The event was attended by Vice-rector for Scientific Work of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Kabyl Zamanbekovich Halykov, Professor of Philosophy at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of Cultural Studies Tursin Khafizovich Gabitov, Head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and Social Sciences at the Kazakh National Academy of Arts. Temirbeka Zhurgenova, PhD, Professor Alimzhanova Aliya Sharabekovna, students, Undergraduates and doctoral students of the Temirbek Zhurgenov Kazakh National Academy of Arts, Abai Kazakh National University, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty University of Humanities and Economics, Caspian Public University.

The seminar participants made presentations on the following topics: Interaction of Turkic countries in theatrical art, an anthology of Turkic philosophy, the Turkic world and modernity, Cooperation of Turkic-speaking peoples in the field of education: the experience of Kazakhstan and Turkey, Common images in Kazakh and Turkic literature: "The Image of the Wolf", The study of folk tales using digital innovations in primary schools, Cultural continuity in the cinema of Turkic-speaking countries".
