Clash of Civilizations: The Role of the Civilizational Factor in World Politics

On March 13, 2025, the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines at the Faculty of History and Law of Abai KazNPU hosted a student debate organized by the Rukhaniyat Bastauy club.

The main theme of the event was Samuel Huntington`s Clash of Civilizations. During the discussion, participants thoroughly examined the role of the civilizational factor in world politics. Students exchanged diverse opinions and analyzed the influence of culture and religion on interstate relations.

The special guests of the event were Doctor of Philology, Professor Daurenbek Kusaiynov, and lecturer of the department Dauren Amankeldi.

The discussion on this pressing topic was organized by senior lecturer of the department, PhD Dr. Nurlan Orynbekov. The event was held at a high level, fostering students` critical thinking and deepening their understanding of global politics.
