Cognitive Experience of Religious Studies and Political Science Students: Visit to the Synagogue

On April 26, 2025, first-year students of the "Religious Studies and Political Science" program at the Faculty of History and Law of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University made a cognitive visit to a synagogue in Almaty.

The main goal of the event was to promote interfaith understanding and tolerance, as well as to combine the students` theoretical knowledge of Judaism with practical experience. During the visit, the students explored the internal structure of the synagogue and had a meeting with the rabbi. During the meeting, they asked important questions about the history, main principles, and religious traditions of Judaism and received meaningful and valuable answers.

The event was organized by Senior Lecturer of the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines, PhD Dr. Nurlan Orynbekov.
