On February 19, 2019, at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, with the support of the rector Takir Balykbayev, the «Center for Young Poets named after Orazaly Dosbosynov» was opened. The opening ceremony was attended by famous akyns, including aitys, Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, poet Zhursin Yerman, statesman and public figure, laureate of the State Prize, poet, playwright Nurlan Orazalin.
The purpose of the center is to popularize the heritage of our university graduate Orazaly Dosbosynov, who died at the age of thirty and left an indelible mark on the art of Kazakh aitys. The organization «Zhas Kalam», consisting of talented akyns-aityskers and young writers, poets, conducts master classes with famous akyns and cultural figures. It organizes student aitys, song contests and meetings, allowing young talents to participate in aitys and mushairs in different regions of the country.
