The Republican Methodological Webinar

 

On May 15, 2025, the Department of the Foundation Faculty organized a republican methodological webinar on the topic: "Contemporary Educational Issues and Development Prospects of Preparatory Departments in Higher and/or Postgraduate Education Institutions."


The purpose of the webinar was to discuss strategies for increasing the number of instructors proficient in modern teaching methods and possessing innovative thinking, as well as to explore ways to adapt the educational process to current societal demands and integrate contemporary approaches into teaching practice.


The webinar was attended by the faculty of the Foundation Department of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, as well as colleagues from Toraighyrov University, Karagandy State University named after E. A. Buketov, and Shakarim University of Semey.


The event was opened by the Head of the Foundation Department, A.Zh. Utemissova, who emphasized the importance and relevance of the topic under discussion.
Presentations were delivered by the following participants:
- A. Dyusenova, Deputy Dean of the Foundation Faculty at Toraighyrov University;
- D. Zhumageldina, Master of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer of the Faculty of Continuing Education at Karagandy State University named after E. A. Buketov;
- G. Nogayeva, Master of Philology, Senior Lecturer of the Preparatory Department at Shakarim University of Semey;
- Z. Aleuova, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Senior Lecturer;
- L. Kurbanova, Master of Pedagogical Sciences, Lecturer;
- A. Satybaldieva, PhD, Senior Lecturer at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.


The webinar covered the following topics:
• Effective methods for preparing repatriates for the Unified National Testing (UNT) in mathematics;
• Development of social intelligence in a new environment: the experience of adapting repatriates in Kazakhstan;
• Specific features of teaching foreign nationals according to international standards within the Cambridge system;
• Reading literacy: value-oriented education;
• Strategies for improving students` functional literacy;
• Modern methods of UNT preparation using artificial intelligence.


All participants received certificates of participation on behalf of the Dean of the Foundation Faculty, A.M. Khairuldayeva.
At the end of the event, the participants exchanged views and proposed continuing collaboration in an offline format.
