International aitys of young poets "Menin pirim - Suinbai"


On February 22-23, 2024, the VIII International Aitys of Young Poets "Menin pirim - Suinbai" will be held under the organisation of Abai KazNPU. The aim is to popularise folk art among young people, revive national poetic traditions, hone the abilities and oratory of young poets, create opportunities for their public recognition, and promote Kazakh art in society.

 

About 40 poets from higher education institutions of the country and abroad, including Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia and Uzbekistan, will take part in the annual traditional poetry competition. This year, three Kazakh Baiterek-Alaman aytys, dedicated to the 130th anniversaries of Saken Seyfullin, Ilyas Zhansugurov and Beyimbet Mailin, will be held in two stages. The qualifying stage - 22 February at 10:00 in the main academic building of Abay KazNPU, the final stage - 23 February at 14:00 in the theatre of traditional art "Alatau".

 

The event, which will be held with the support of the theatre "Alatau" and sponsor Dulat Tastakeev, founder of the public fund "ASSYLTAS", will be attended by: Honoured Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Knight of the Order of "Otan", Chairman of the Board of RKB "International Union of Poets and Singers of Aitys" Zhursin Erman, Member of Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honoured Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, famous poet Amanzhol Altayev. Judges will be the famous poet Serik Kaliev, laureate of the prize "Golden Dombra" Yerkebulan Kaynazarov, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Baltabay Abdigazuly. The competition will be held by the head of the school of poets named after O. Dosbosynov Shugaiyp Sezimkhan.

 

Venue: Aytys qualifying stage: 13, Dostyk Ave., Almaty, main academic building of KazNPU named after Abai, conference hall No.225.

 

Final stage: theatre of traditional art "Alatau".
