Presentation of history textbooks in Kazakh language

 

On December 3, 2020, R.U. Seitkaziev and A. Duisenbayevna, lecturers of the Department of World History at the Institute of History and Law, held a distance learning and educational seminar with students of the Institute of History and Law as part of the «Rukhani zhangiru» programme, where the presentation of translated history books «100 new textbooks in Kazakh» was held. Students made presentations and exchanged views on translated textbooks in the field of «History».

 

The works of famous scientists were presented: Zina O`Leary «Conducting a research project, the main manual», Karen Armstrong «History of God: 4000 years of searches in Judaism, Christianity and Islam», Yuri Lotman «Semiosphere», Dann Ross E., Laura J. Mitchell «Panorama: World History», Alan Barnard «History and Theory of Anthropology», Said Edward Wadi «Orientalism» and others translated into Kazakh. The seminar was attended by the Institute`s teaching staff, doctoral students, masters and students. The participants of the event got acquainted with the new textbooks and shared their opinions during the feedback.
