A Workshop on “Remote Small-Scale Schools – In the Focus of the Department” Held

On March 18, 2025, the Department of Foreign Languages at the Faculty of Philology of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University organized an online workshop for teachers from Kulandy and Koktem small-scale schools in the Aral district of the Kyzylorda region.

The event aimed to foster collaboration in education and strengthen ties with remote schools. This initiative was carried out within the framework of the "Remote Small-Scale Schools - In the Focus of the Department" project and was conducted in partnership with educational institutions that have established affiliate relationships with the department.

During the workshop, discussions centered on encouraging teachers` creativity and professional development, exploring innovative teaching practices, improving curricula, and analyzing best teaching experiences.

The Dean of the Faculty of Philology, Doctor of Philology A.V. Tanzharikova, and the Head of the Department, PhD S.K. Ivatov, shared their expertise in developing original curricula for academic subjects. Additionally, Candidate of Philology and Acting Associate Professor G.R. Nurekeshova invited teachers to participate in competitions such as "Best Original Curriculum," "Festival of Pedagogical Ideas," and "Talented Teacher for Gifted Students," providing them with detailed information about the competition rules.

This event provided teachers in remote schools with an opportunity to enhance their professional skills, familiarize themselves with new teaching methodologies, and develop shared educational resources. Furthermore, it contributed to strengthening partnerships between higher education institutions and schools.
