Improving reading literacy through text is a pressing issue   

November 21, 2024 in the city of Altynsarin Gymnasium No. 159 hosted another seminar of the branch of the Department of Theory and Methodology of Teaching the Kazakh Language of the Institute of Philology of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The seminar was attended by the head of the department Ilyasova Nagima Abzelbekovna, senior lecturer, сandidate of Pedagogical Sciences Kenzhebaeva Guldariga Merekebaevna, senior lecturer Seytalieva Karlygash Orynovna.

At the seminar, professor of the department, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences Baltabaeva Zhanalik Klishevna made a presentation on the topic: "Improving text literacy (grade 5)," in which she dwelled on the role of text in improving student literacy and methods of teaching it. The teachers present at the seminar noted the usefulness of the topic under discussion and noted that they use the described methods during the lesson.

Teacher-expert Meirbek Kamshat Kyrgyzbekovna, who teaches Kazakh language and literature in grade 5 under the IB program, also shared her experience.
