Lecture on "Actual problems of the history of Kazakh writing"

On March 28, 2025, a leadership lecture by Professor of the Department of Theory and Methodology of the Kazakh Language of KazNPU named after Abai, Doctor of Philology Kalamkas Kalybayeva on the topic "Actual problems of the history of Kazakh writing" took place. The lecture was attended by the teaching staff, undergraduates and doctoral students of this department.

The purpose and purpose of the lecture is to share scientific research on the peculiarities of the development of the Kazakh theory of writing, a new approach to the theory of writing by Akhmet Baitursynov, reasoning and problems of cognition. The lecture on leadership was devoted to the problems of Kazakh writing, studied recently by Ph.D. Kalamkas Kalybayeva.

During the lecture, special attention was paid to such topics as "The role of Akhmet Baitursynov in the history of Kazakh writing", "A new look at the peculiarities of the theory of writing in the 1930s and 40s", "The political and social background of the rejection of Latin writing", "Historical subtleties of the transition to Cyrillic writing".

At the end of the lecture, the head of the department, Nagima Ilyasova, shared important thoughts. Nagima Ilyasova expressed her gratitude to the lecturer, stressing that this topic is very important for the present and future of Kazakh linguistics.
