Seminar on "Using SPSS in scientific research: methods of data processing and interpretation of results"

On April 9, 2025, the Department of Kazakh Language Theory and Teaching Methodology convened a scholarly-methodological seminar entitled "Using SPSS in Scientific Research: Methods of Data Processing and Interpretation of Results."

The seminar was delivered by Ms. Ainagul Duisenbekkyzy Ryskulova, a second-year doctoral candidate specializing in Linguistics. In her presentation, she elaborated on the integral role of SPSS software in the conduct of empirical research, with particular emphasis on the linguistic sciences. The speaker provided detailed explanations of essential procedures such as data coding, statistical preprocessing, construction of data visualizations (tables and charts), and the implementation of advanced statistical analyses, including correlation, factor, and cluster analysis.

The session was attended by faculty members, graduate students, and early-career researchers. It featured interactive academic dialogue, where participants engaged in critical inquiry, addressed practical questions, and discussed the applicability of SPSS-driven insights within the framework of scientific investigation.
