International scientific-practical conference «Scientific-methodological heritage of Alash intellectuals: tradition and innovation»

On February 28, 2018, International scientific and practical conference «Scientific and methodological heritage of Alash intellectuals: tradition and innovation» devoted to the 90th anniversary of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University was held. The conference was organized by the Department of Theory and Methodology of the Kazakh Language at the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education.

International conference was attended by prominent scholars and researchers of the domestic science and education system, as well as professors of Turkey universities, such as Gazi, Phrat, Mugla Muğla Sıtkı Koçman, philologists, university teachers and applicants from a number of universities in the country to share their views on national language, religion, culture and traditions.

The Board meeting was held by the first Vice-rector of the University Maktagali Bektemesov.

In the reports of leading researchers of Alash studies such as Aigul Ismakova, doctor of philological sciences, professor, chief researcher of the Institute of Literature and Art named after Mukhtar Auezov, Mambet Koygeldiev, professor of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Republic, Fauzia Orazbayeva, correspondent Member of the National Academy of Sciences of Kazakhstan Republic, scholars from Turkey: Cetin Pekadzhar, Ahmet Boran, Mehmet Akif Sozer, Yerzhan Alkaya, Nezir Temir, Ekrem Ayan, represented a lot of valuable and interesting information about the Latin alphabet, historical and cultural connections of the Turkic peoples and the role of scientific works of Alash intellectuals in the development of Turkology. This contributed to the high-level conference.
After the lunch break, sectional meetings were held. There were worked 4 sections on the program of the conference. The resolution of the conference was adopted in the final meeting.
