“Interdisciplinary Research in Archaeology – Outcomes and Key Perspectives” and covered the period from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages.


Under the leadership of Assemgul Daurenkyzy Kasenova, scientific staff from the A. Kh. Margulan Institute of Archaeology, including M. Shagirbayev, R. Januzak, M. Suyundikova, and young scientists, delivered a lecture for students of the Faculty of History and Law at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University in honor of Science Day. The lecture, titled "Interdisciplinary Research in Archaeology - Results and Key Perspectives," covered the period from the Stone Age to the Middle Ages.


The lecture extensively explained the interconnections and significance of research in archaeology, anthropology, ceramics, and other archaeological sciences. The scholars highlighted recent scientific achievements in these fields and identified areas for future research. Additionally, the role and potential of interdisciplinary research in archaeology were discussed, as well as the contribution of each scientific discipline in the study of archaeological excavations and artifacts.


The scientific staff emphasized how interdisciplinary approaches contribute to the development of archaeology and provided students with information about the comprehensive and in-depth results of such research. Ideas were also shared on how archaeological research could be further advanced through the integration of various sciences and what innovations are expected in the future.


This lecture helped students develop a deeper understanding of the importance and future of interdisciplinary research in archaeology, broadening the scientific perspective of young scholars.
