Meeting with an Afghan War Veteran and Presentation of the Book `Fiery Days in Afghanistan`

On April 22, 2025, within the framework of the discipline "Public History of Kazakhstan in the Digital Age", a meeting of 1st-year undergraduates of the History educational program took place with Talgat Aldibayevich Alpamysov, a veteran of the Afghan War, the author of the book "Fiery Days in Afghanistan". The event brought together students, scholars, and guests from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

The veteran shared personal memories and reflections on the historical significance of the Afghan campaign. A lively dialogue with the audience highlighted the role of personal testimony in shaping public historical narratives.

A project-based exhibition prepared by master`s students showcased archival documents, photographs, and visual reconstructions. The event served as a vivid example of integrating academic knowledge, personal memory, and intercultural dialogue.
