Within the framework of the event "Decade of Science - 2023", a competition "Fascinating physical experiment" was held

On April 5, 2023, in accordance with the calendar of events of the Decade of science dedicated to the 95th anniversary of our university, the Department of Physics of the Institute of Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science held a competition "Fascinating physical experiment" among 2nd-year students of the specialty "6B05302-Physics" in the discipline "Computer modeling of physical processes". Teacher of the discipline - Rystygulova V.

Goal of the event is to help students develop professionally in a certain direction and in the field of physics, as well as to direct them to the proper education of the future physicist, as well as to expand students` knowledge.

The teams competed on various tasks, such as greetings, photo collage, quiz questions (wordwall.net in software), explain a physical experiment (on the website phet.colorado.edu ), a fascinating physical experiment (students conducted various interesting experiments). 5 teams took part. Each team tried to answer the quiz questions correctly and the teams interpreted the physical experiment in two different formats: the first experiment was a virtual computer laboratory work, and the other experiment students brought instruments and accessories for the experiment and demonstrated it during the competition. Revealed the physical meaning of each experiment. The competition was interesting and controversial, the jury asked questions, and the students answered. This will undoubtedly increase students` interest in physics.

The jury of the competition: Deputy Director for Scientific Work and International Cooperation, PhD Nurmukhammedova Zh., Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Bisembayev K., senior lecturer Tezekeev S. Professor Kazakbayeva D., PhD, senior lecturer Akzholova A.A., senior lecturer Kamzabekova Sh.B. senior lecturer of the Department "Methods of Teaching Physics and computer science" Shoynbayeva G.

According to the results of the competition, the winners were awarded diplomas and valuable prizes.

According to the results of the competition:

I place: team "Girls of physics" ;

II place: teams "Professor and his gnomes" and "Atom";

III place: the teams "Newton`s Students" and "Variance".

The organizers of the event congratulate the participants and winners of the competition and wish them further success in their studies and new achievements.
