Scientific Seminar "Perspectives and Challenges of Astrophysics"

On April 8, 2025, the Department of Physics of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics held a scientific seminar on the topic "Perspectives and Challenges of Astrophysics."

The seminar was organized with the support of the Department of Physics and was part of the Scientific Week dedicated to the 180th anniversary of Abai. The seminar was attended by professors, doctoral students, and master`s students from the Department of Physics, as well as young scientists from the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute: Ildana Izmailova, Adel Umerbaeva, and Ruslan Spasyuk. Young scientists from the Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute and PhD, postdoctoral researcher from the Department of Physics, Daniya Utepova, presented their reports.

The presented papers covered a wide range of contemporary topics in astrophysics-from historical aspects and current scientific programs of the V.G. Fesenkov Astrophysical Institute to studies of heat conductivity in comets and general relativistic effects in the motion of orbital satellites. The seminar facilitated the exchange of knowledge and experience among astrophysics specialists, strengthened scientific connections, and fostered discussions on promising research directions in Kazakhstan. Participants expressed hope for the continuation of such events in the future to further develop cooperation and promote scientific achievements in the field of astrophysics.
