Abai University Lecturer Promoted National Art at the International Level

From March 5 to 7, 2025, the international exhibition "Fabrics, Silk, Clothing Accessories" took place in Istanbul, Turkey. This large-scale event brought together masters and designers from nearly 50 countries.

Among the participants was Lyazzat Adenova, Master of Arts, Senior Lecturer at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, and a member of the Kazakhstan Union of Ethnodesigners. She showcased Kazakhstan`s national art on the international stage.

As part of the exhibition, ethnodesigners presented their works and achievements, as well as displayed traditional Kazakh clothing and handmade crafts.

The event was also attended by Sultan Raev, Secretary General of the International Organization TÜRKSOY, who, during an official meeting, spoke in detail about Kazakh applied arts, visual arts, and the culture of national dress. Special attention was given to the deep history and significance of Kazakhstan`s folk art.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Sultan Raev was presented with commemorative souvenirs symbolizing the national art of the Kazakh people. Additionally, ethnodesigners and artisans who participated in the exhibition received special certificates and letters of appreciation.

This event became an important step in promoting Kazakh folk art on the global stage. During the exhibition, new business partnerships were established, further strengthening the position of Kazakhstan`s cultural heritage at the international level. Efforts to popularize Kazakh culture abroad will continue in the future.
