Abai University teachers visited Lithuania on a research trip

From May 1 to May 6, 2025, teachers of the Department of Music Education and Choreography of the Faculty of Arts of Abai KazNPU, members of the scientific project IRN AR23488786 "Transdisciplinary research in the art education system: cultural memory and the phenomenon of national values in modern content" Laura Kakimova and Svetlana Balagazova visited Lithuania on a scientific business trip. The invitation program to visit Vilnius University Šiauliai akademija / Siauliai Academy, signed by the director Prof.Dr. Renata Bilbokate, allowed them to get a closer look at the specifics of studying in Lithuania.The Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University was formed as a result of the merger of the two largest universities in the country and it is located in the city of Siauliai, and the administrative building is located in the city of Vilnius.

The purpose of the trip was to organize a scientific platform for the exchange of experience and ideas, as well as to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions of the Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University and the Kazakh National Pedagogical University named after Abai. Our universities were united, at one time, by a two-degree educational program in music education. The meeting with the representative of the international Department, Coordinator of International Studies Beatrice Poskuviene, scientists of the Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University Prof.Dr. Asta Vaitkevičienė, Director of the Institute of Educology Prof.Dr. Daiva Malinauškenė and others allowed us to outline plans for the resumption of the two-degree program in the future, taking into account all the peculiarities of the educational programs of the two countries: Lithuania and Kazakhstan.

The meeting with the leadership of the Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University was marked by a round table meeting, where the topic of the scientific project was announced for the pedagogical, scientific and creative exchange of experience with the staff of the University of Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University, the exchange of experience in participating in scientific projects and in international Erasmus programs, the adaptation of students and undergraduates to preserve the mentality of national culture and cultural memory through art. Laura Kakimova and Svetlana Balagazova shared their experience with the pedagogical community of scientists at the Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University in implementing a two-degree program in the Master`s degree program. She visited scientific libraries, campuses, classrooms of the Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University.

The final result of the trip was the receipt of a certificate of residence at the Siauliai Academy of Vilnius University, signed by Deputy Director for Academic Affairs Regina Karveliene.
