Training seminar of the Center for Pedagogical Innovations and Action Research held at the Faculty of Arts

On October 2, 2025, a seminar titled “Writing and Defending the Diploma Project” was organized at the Faculty of Arts using Lesson Study and Action Research methods for students of both pedagogical and non-pedagogical specialties. During the seminar, participants were introduced to new scientific methods that can be effectively applied in writing and defending diploma projects.

Dr. Klea Fernandez’s explanations provided valuable professional experience and inspired students to pursue further scientific research. Learning from an international expert of such caliber is a great opportunity and an important step in the professional development of future specialists.

The seminar was opened by Aiman Berikhanova, Head of the UNESCO Department at Abai KazNPU. Gulnaz Sarsenbayeva, Curator of the Center for Pedagogical Innovations and Action Research course, presented a presentation titled “Conducting Diploma Projects/Works in the Format of Action Research or Lesson Study.” Also, mentors of the Faculty of Arts participated — PhD, Professor Onal Abisheva, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Laura Kakimova, and Lecturer Aigali Nasipkaliuly.
