The XVII Republican Student Subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan

The XVII Republican Student Subject Olympiad among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took place on April 24-25, 2025, at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, Department of Biology, at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The event focused on educational programs within the group "6B015 - Teacher Preparation in Biology."

The main goal of the Olympiad was to identify and support the creative potential of talented students studying within the "6B015 - Teacher Preparation in Biology" program, as well as to contribute to the formation of their intellectual and personal capital. The Olympiad aimed to increase youth interest in scientific research and stimulate their participation in solving modern scientific problems.

38 students from 19 higher educational institutions in Kazakhstan participated in the Olympiad. The opening ceremony featured speeches by Banu Narbekova, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Kulyash Kaimuldinova, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, and Asiya Maymataeva, Head of the Department of Biology.

The Olympiad traditionally consisted of two rounds: a theoretical round, a practical round (case studies), and an essay writing component.

During the closing ceremony, Kulyash Kaimuldinova, Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography, presented appreciation certificates to the team leaders.

The winners of the Olympiad received diplomas, gifts, and valuable prizes.

3rd Degree Diploma: Sabitova Akbota Bakhytbekkyzy, Kokshetau University named after Sh. Ualikhanov, supervised by Candidate of Biological Sciences Durnekbaeva Shynar Nurlybekovna.

3rd Degree Diploma: Malik Dilnaz Erlankyz, Western Kazakhstan University named after M. Otemisov, supervised by Senior Lecturer Kazhimuratova Zhannat Sankibaevna.

3rd Degree Diploma: Asanova Alsu Sakenkyzy, Kazakh National Women`s Pedagogical University, supervised by Associate Professor Bataeva Dariga Serikkyzy.
