On April 12, 2019, under the direction of Zina Tungushbaeva, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of the Department of Biology of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography, an intercollegiate scientific conference on the theme «Cellular mechanisms during ontogenesis» was organized by undergraduates of the 1st course of the specialty «6M011300-Biology».

The conference reports examined various types of cellular mechanisms during ontogenesis, as well as factors contributing to the development and rejection of these mechanisms.

Along with the teaching staff, the event was attended by: Deputy Director for Research of the University Kalampyr Zhumagulova and Deputy director for Educational Work Nurlan Manapov.

At the scientific conference, undergraduates from the Kazakh-Russian Medical and Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical Universities perfectly presented their work on contemporary topics.

During the conference various questions were asked by the jury and the audience. Professor Amantay Konakbaev and Associate Professor Komus Batyrova cited examples of environmental factors that affect the cellular mechanisms of ontogenesis and the formation of certain pathologies in the fetus. This information has increased the interest of students.

At this conference, it was noted that students and undergraduates who went to scientific work can speak fluently in English and Russian languages, and not only in their native language.

At the end of the conference, the head of the Department of Biology, Professor Murat Zhaksybayev, spoke on the benefits of an inter-university scientific conference and urged undergraduates to engage in scientific activities.

At the end of the conference, students and undergraduates who showed excellent results at the conference were awarded diplomas and letters of thanks.

The undergraduates expressed their impressions of this conference through social networks with KazNU, KazNMU, KazNTU, KIMEP, and they shared this with young people from other educational institutions.
