Distance Learning Technologies at the Department of Music Education and Choreography of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports


By the decision of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan «On the restriction of the entry / exit of people into the territory of the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty» (https:///primeminister.kz/kz/news/ob-ogranicheniyah-na-vezd-vyezd-v-iz-gorodov-nur-sultan-i-almaty-172613), and the order of the Rector of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University  Balykbayev T.O. (http://www.kaznpu.kz/kz/2458/notice/)  from March 03, 2020  Department of Music Education and Choreography of the Institute of Arts, Culture and Sports successfully implements a distance learning system.  Despite the objective difficulties associated with lack of musical instruments, unfavorable  conditions for learning choreography and music at the students` place of residence, as well as the creative specifics of the educational programs «Music Education», «Choreography», «Cultural and leisure work», the teaching staff of the department was able to adapt to modern challenges and implement such advanced IT technologies as ZOOM, You-tube, LearningApps, Kahoot, etc.

 

For example,  an online lecture on the topic «The educational potential of the Kazakh kyu» was posted on You-tube by the Honored Worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan, associate professor Yerbolat Mustafayev (https://youtu.be/Hpn4vom6df4), video lessons on Piano playing, Choral conducting, Dombra, Music theory in ZOOM program was conducted by Professors  Ibraeva Kamarsulu, Balagazova Svetlana, Kakimova Laura, Aituarova Azhar, senior teachers Malimbay Samat.

 

Brimgazina Lyazzat, Kulseitova Alpesh, Umarbekova Perizat and others successfully use the features of Facetime, Skype, Whatsapp applications for individual vocal lessons and working in mini-groups of choreographers. Kuldanov Nauryz successfully masters LearningApps, Kahoot technologies in classes on the history of the mass cultural industry and oratory.

 

Students and undergraduates undergo distance learning according to the previously approved schedule, without interrupting their training for midterm control, actively and with great interest mastering modern distance learning technologies.

 

On March 30, 2020, the teaching staff of the department took part in the webinar of Suleiman Demirel University on the use of modern forms of student assessment - an online forum, open chat, etc. (https://sdu.webex.com/meet/almaz.zhumageldi),  which are planned to introduce to students` distance learning in the nearest future.
