A Student of Abai University Became a Prize-Winner of the XVII Republican Subject Olympiad

On May 12-13, 2025, the XVII Republican Student Subject Olympiad in the discipline "Methodology of Teaching Music" under the educational program "Training Music Teachers" was held at Kh. Dosmukhamedov Atyrau University.

A total of 17 applications were received from 11 higher education institutions across the country, and the best students in the field of music education took part. Participants included students from M.Kh. Dulaty Taraz University, Ö.Zhanibekov South Kazakhstan Pedagogical University, Zhasulan Tashenov University, Y. Altynsarin Arkalyk Pedagogical University, M. Kozybayev North Kazakhstan University, K. Zhubanov Aktobe Regional University, M. Utemisov West Kazakhstan University, and other institutions.

Arzygul Adilzhanova, a 4th-year student of the educational program "6B01402 - Music Education" at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, took part in the competition. She presented a learning project distinguished by its creativity and modern approach. In a lesson plan titled "Cinema and Music" for the 6th grade, she demonstrated the potential of using interactive methods, online resources, and artificial intelligence.

Based on the results of the competition, Arzygul Adilzhanova won 3rd place and was awarded a cash prize and commemorative gifts. Her academic advisor, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences and Acting Professor of the Department of Music Education and Choreography, Laura Kakimova, was awarded a special diploma for the high-level professional preparation of the student.

It should be noted that the jury included Tamara Suingarina, Associate Professor at Atyrau University and veteran educator (chair of the jury), Honored Worker of Kazakhstan and Associate Professor Mukhadas Gabdiev, Candidate of Art Studies Bakhyt Turmangambetova, as well as Acting Professor Laura Kakimova representing Abai University.
