With Abai in heart

On 14 th of August of 2020 year the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education held an online event "With Abay in heart" dedicated to the 175th anniversary of the great Kazakh poet and philosopher. The meeting turned out to be informative and interesting, so the organizers headed by Saule Abisheva, the head of the department who managed to use different genres and forms of communication with the participants.

The presentation "The Great Kazakh Poet Abai" by the candidate of philological sciences Mekhirnisa Khavaidarova reminded the audience of the milestones of the poet`s creative path. The participation of the famous Kazakhstani singer Tolkyn Zabirova who graciously accepted the invitation to speak at this meeting brightened the webinar and made a sincere note.

The international status of the event was held by the speech of Maksim Ponomarenko, a doctoral student of the Pomor Academy in Slupsk (Poland) with a story about Abai Center of Culture and Science of Kazakhstan which is open and actively working at the Pomor Academy on the initiative of the Department of Russian Language and Literature.

Foreign students read Abai`s poems. They are the members of the Russian Summer Club, created by the Department of International Cooperation of Abai University. Students from Turkmenistan, China, Turkey, Egypt and other countries study Russian all summer under the guidance of volunteer teachers from the Department of Russian Language and Literature. Their introduction to Abai`s work showed how these classes helped to improve their knowledge of the language.

During the meeting there was a duet of teachers from Abai KazNPU Tolegen and Sholpan Merkibayevs. The webinar was completed by the choral performance of the song "Kozimnin Karasy".

For all the participants of the meeting the creativity of great Abai became more expensive and closer.
