Abai`s word in the XXI century

The Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Faculty of Philology held a literary evening "Abai`s Word in the XXI Century" dedicated to the 180th anniversary of the birth of the great poet and thinker.

The event was held within the framework of the Abai 180: Abai digital project of Abai KazNPU. The evening was organised jointly with Specialised Lyceum No. 165 in Almaty.
The guests of the meeting were welcomed by Maria Simakova, Deputy Head of Rossotrudnichestvo Representative Office in the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Schoolchildren and students listened with great interest to the speeches of Diar Kunayev, Director of the Literary Memorial House-Museum of M.O. Auezov, and Meiramgul Kairambaeva, Deputy Director for Research of the State Historical-Cultural and Literary-Memorial Museum-Reserve of Abai "Zhidebai-Borili" (Semei). About how the memory of Abai is kept in Kazan Federal University, said Alfiya Yusupova.

The contribution of poet and thinker Abai Kunanbaev to the development of Central Asia was devoted to the speech of Zamira Rajobova, senior lecturer of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Uzbek-Finnish Pedagogical Institute (Uzbekistan). Abai`s name in the Ulytau region was the subject of a report by a teacher of the S. Seifullin Gymnasium. С. Zulfiya Gilemkhanova, director of the Kazakhstan Congress of Tatars and Bashkirs. The scientist, writer Kairat Zhanabaev told about the picture of K. Telzhanov "Abai`s Poems".

At the end of the meeting, Saule Dzhunusovna Abisheva, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai KazNPU, thanked all the participants for the important dialogue, which allowed a new look at the creativity and philosophy of Abai.
