The competition «Year Choice-2024»  was held

The «Year Choice-2024» competition took place on December 20, 2024, organized by the Department of Social and Youth Policy among industry specialists and active students of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The event was organized to motivate university staff and students, and the best among them were awarded for their achievements in the fields of art, science, education, culture, and sports during the 2024-2025 academic year, as well as for their active participation in public activities.

A total of 106 applications were submitted for the competition, which involved all university faculties, the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute, and structural divisions. The members of the special commission reviewed the applications in team and individual nominations according to the competition rules and determined the best in their fields through voting.

As a result, winners were identified in several nominations, including:

• Best Publicly Active Faculty;

• Best Self-Governance Organizations;

• Best Dormitory Council;

• Best Student Club;

• Best Creative Group (Singing and Dancing);

• Best Coordinator of Educational Work;

• Best Model of Kazakh Style;

• Volunteer of the Year;

• Activist of the Year;

• Best Foreign Creative Student;

• Holder of the Highest GPA;

• Athlete of the Year;

• Best Dormitory Manager;

• Best Dormitory Security Officer;

• Holder of the Best Scientific Work;

• Best Mentor;

• Creative Media Host, and other nominees and winners.

The winners of the «Year Choice-2024» competition, special nomination holders, and the most active sports and creative clubs were awarded special letters of thanks, diplomas, and cash prizes from the Chairman of the Board-Rector.

The award ceremony was attended by the Vice-Rector for Social Development, Makhsat Zhakauov.

It is worth noting that the festive evening featured performances by art stars such as Duman Marat, Aydin Jumakhan, Aibek Zhakypar, and Uali Myrza, who brought a celebratory mood.
