Preventing Religious Extremism: An Awareness Event at Abai University

On February 18, 2025, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University hosted a comprehensive event in collaboration with the Department of Religious Affairs of Almaty. The event aimed to build students` resilience against religious radicalism and extremism while also explaining the state policy on religion and the secular values of society.

During the session, Sultan Murzakhmetuly Abdrakhmanov, a religious scholar, master`s degree holder, and a member of the information and awareness group, delivered a lecture addressing the dangers of radical ideologies and the ways to counteract them.

Participants actively engaged in discussions, expressed their opinions, asked questions, and exchanged views. The event was held in university dormitories and academic buildings.
