Lecture «Your Choice – Your Bright Future»

On October 3, 2025, Abai University hosted a lecture titled «Your Choice – Your Bright Future», organized by the Psychological Support Service within the framework of the memorandum signed with the Sergey Sklyar Psychotherapy Center.

The purpose of the lecture was to raise awareness about the importance of mental health, to develop skills in recognizing suicidal signs, to foster the values of empathy, mutual support, and responsibility for oneself and others, as well as to promote a culture of caring for mental well-being among students as a way to prevent suicidal risks.

The lecture was delivered by researchers from the Sergey Sklyar Psychotherapy Center – clinical psychologist Bolatova Aiganym Maulenkyzy and psychologist Abdamova Dina Abdurakhimovna. The participants discussed relevant and important issues related to mental health. These topics sparked active discussions, during which students asked questions to the psychologists, shared their thoughts, and reflected on examples from their personal experiences. Students showed great interest and took an active part in the discussion. Such meetings not only enhance understanding of mental health but also help young people develop a culture of caring for mental well-being.

The lecture was attended by more than 150 students of Abai University.
