The Practical English Language Department carries out scientific, research, educational, and developmental work among students and ensures the training of scientific-pedagogical staff in postgraduate education.

The department has 46.75 full-time positions (25,822 hours) approved, consisting of:

Research Activities
The department`s scientific work aims to improve the quality of training for academic staff in line with education standards.
Information about Faculty Members` Participation in Research Projects
N.U. Saibekova is a member of the project 8132 "Teaching Kazakh Turkish to Turkish Speakers in Turkey". As part of the project, a 214-page textbook co-authored with professors from Gazi University has been submitted for publication.

I.B. Baisydyk is a researcher under project BR21882227 "Linguistic Tools and Developments for Reviving Language Consciousness in the Context of New Kazakhstan", implemented by the A. Baitursynov Institute of Linguistics (October-December 2023). She is also a contributor to project BR21882249 "Enhancement and Expansion of the National Corpus of the Kazakh Language" (from March 2024 to present).

G.K. Myrzakhanova is a researcher on project BR21882334 "Kazakh Poetic Corpus Development: Morphological and Poetic Annotation of Abai`s Poems".

Ch.K. Ordabayev, A. S. Nabidullin participated as a junior researcher in the project "Cultural Content, Intercultural Competence, Intercultural Communication, Realia, Concept, Fairy Tale, English Language, Foreign Language Teaching". The project resulted in 2 articles, 1 publication, and participation in an international conference and internship.
