Abai University and the Almaty Weightlifting Federation Establish Cooperation

On April 7, 2025, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and the Almaty Weightlifting Federation, a public association in Almaty.

The memorandum aims to establish mutually beneficial cooperation in the fields of higher and postgraduate education, science, and culture, as well as to address relevant issues related to improving the effectiveness of teaching, educational-methodological, and research activities. The event was attended by Ernar Ospanqulov, Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Initial Military Training at Abai University, Nurgan Tolegenuly, Head of the Department of Physical Education and Sport, Dauren Bekmukhametov, Head Coach of the Kazakhstan Men`s Weightlifting Team, Ziadin Djambulat, President of the Almaty Weightlifting Federation, and Mukhtar Zhaylaubekov, the representative of the Weightlifting Federation in Almaty.

The main goal of the memorandum is to train highly qualified specialists in physical education and sports for Kazakhstan, enhance the integration of education, sports, and science, and strengthen the university`s connection with mass sports.

The cooperation will contribute to the training of professional specialists for both parties.
