Citywide Togyzkumalak Tournament Dedicated to the 180th Anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev

On April 18, 2025, a citywide Togyzkumalak tournament was held in honor of the 180th anniversary of the great Kazakh educator Abai Kunanbayev, as well as the opening of the "Abai" Togyzkumalak Club at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University (KazNPU).

More than 100 players took part in the competition - representatives from 11 universities in Almaty, as well as guests from the city of Turkestan, including teams from the Khoja Akhmet Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University and Suleyman Demirel University (SDU).

As a result of the tournament, the team from Abai KazNPU became the champion and won various awards.

1st place - Ayana Isakhan, student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Abai KazNPU.
1st place - Eldar Daken, student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Abai KazNPU.
2nd place - Akerke Tursynali, student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Abai KazNPU.
3rd place - Yerdaulet Zhanabilov, student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Abai KazNPU.
3rd place - Yerasyl Pernebayev, student of the Faculty of Physical Culture and Sports, Abai KazNPU.
