KazNPU Students Won Prizes at an International Karate Tournament

From May 16 to 18, 2025, the international WKF karate tournament "AQJAIYQ OPEN" was held in Oral (Uralsk) as part of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, dedicated to the memory of the Hero of the Soviet Union Manshuk Mametova.

First-year students of the Faculty of Physical Education and Basic Military Training of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University — Alihan Kadyrgali and Sanzhar Ayanuly — took part in the competition and achieved great results.

In this prestigious tournament, which brought together nearly 1,000 athletes from 6 countries, Alihan Kadyrgali won 1st place in the up to 84 kg weight category, while Sanzhar Ayanuly earned a bronze medal (3rd place) in the over 84 kg category.
