Meeting of the Department of Physics in online format

On April 25, 2020, a meeting of the Department of physics of the Institute of mathematics, physics and Informatics of Abai KazNPU took place, which was held by the head of the Department, corresponding member of NAS RK Kosov V. based on the Zoom online platform.

The issues of pedagogical design of online classes and educational platforms used by teachers in distance learning were analyzed. Teachers exchanged opinions on the development of video lectures and webinars, as well as creating feedback with students through the services of such platforms as Zoom, Skype, Univer, LMS MOODLE, Google classroom, Webex, Microsoft Teams. The possibilities and effectiveness of these services were analyzed, and the experience of teachers was discussed.

The planned issues related to: approval of examination tickets for full-time and part-time education; preparation of test examination questions; preliminary defense of diploma and master`s works in online format; preparation for the state exam and other issues were considered. The staff of the Department was also acquainted with the decisions of the Academic Council of the University held on-line on April 24, 2020.

At the end of the event, the participants wished each other health, cheerfulness, and hope for new meetings with each other not only online, but also in the University`s classrooms.
