Deep understanding of the world is a philosophy of art

On April 10, 2020, senior lecturer of the Department of political science and socio-philosophical disciplines Berdalina Assem of the Institute of History and Law held a lecture on the ZOOM platform on philosophy for the specialties «Design», «Painting», «Choreography», «Graphic design», «Music education», «Physical culture and sports». The topic of the lecture is «Philosophy of art».

The lecture discussed the philosophical interpretation of the oldest form of human life - art. Together with the students, an excursion was conducted on the Genesis of this cultural category in the works of philosophers of various eras. The question of philosophy as a special form of art, which can only be mastered by those few who have an imaginative personal artistic thinking, and not a rational one, was revealed.

Philosophy has a special task-to reflect the world in all its complexity and diversity, and therefore integrity, which significantly distinguishes philosophical knowledge from scientific knowledge, which tears the world apart, and brings it closer to art.

Modern philosophy is a departure from traditional philosophies, i.e. philosophical categories. It is more and more dissolved in the universals of all culture, more and more in the universals of art. Both philosophy and art develop in people a valuable attitude to the world, to each other. This is their main function, their main purpose.
