Scientific webinar on the topic «The Syrian question in world politics: the positions of Russia and Turkey»

On April 08, 2021, the Department of «Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines» of the Institute of History and Law within the framework of the «Decade of Science-2021 «of the University organized a scientific webinar of the senior lecturer of the Faculty of International Relations of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, PhD Doctor Yermekbayev Adilbek on the topic «The Syrian question in world politics: the positions of Russia and Turkey».

The event was attended by the teaching staff of the Institute and the department, undergraduates, doctoral students, students of the specialties «History», «Religious Studies», «Philosophy», «Regional Studies», «Political Science», guests from the Kazakh Abylai Khan University of International Relations and World Languages.

The webinar discussed such important issues as the situation in Syria, the positions of their leaders, the positions of the Republic of Turkey and the Russian Federation on the Syrian issue, political and economic aspects, the religious situation in Syria, and the refugee problem. The webinar aroused the interest of the participants and lasted more than two hours.
