The pedagogical legacy of Ybyrai Altynsarin is still relevant today

On February 23, 2022, the department of political science and social and philosophical disciplines of the Institute of History and Law of Abai KazNPU held an educational webinar, dedicated to the life and educational activities of Ybyrai Altynsarin, Kazakh outstanding teacher, writer, ethnographer, folklorist and public figure.

The webinar was opened by Adil Junusov, Director of the Institute of History and Law, and Zhomart Simtikov, Head of the Department of Political Science and Social and Philosophical Sciences. The event was attended by university faculty and students, as well as teachers and students of the Abai Kazakh comprehensive school in Enbekshikazakh district of Almaty region. Scientific and educational lectures were heard, and poems by the great steppe educator were read in which he encouraged young people to study. At the end of the meeting, the most active participants were awarded and presented with certificates.
