Research professor held a meeting with staff State archives of Aktobe region The head of the scientific project "Military history of the western region of Kazakhstan (XVIII-XX centuries)" professor B. Zhumagulov, in accordance with the calendar plan of the research project, was recently on a business trip to Aktobe for familiarization and collection of archival sources.
During the business trip, he met with employees of the regional state archive, which has more than 100 years of history, and held a conversation with them about the goals and objectives of this scientific project. The archive staff, in turn, warmly received the scientist.
During the conversation with a prominent scientist, the director of the archive, Marat Tolebay, shared interesting thoughts about the activities and work of the archive. Highlighting the informational nature of modern society, he touched upon the creation of an electronic archive of archival documents reflecting the main stages of the spiritual and cultural development of society, introduced those present to the course of development and prospects of modern archival affairs in the region, achievements and current problems of the archival industry in this region.
The scientist was also familiarized with the material and technical base of the regional archive and with the progress of his daily work.
At the end of the meeting B. Zhumagulov introduced those present to the academic publication "History of the Atyrau region. From antiquity to the present day", published in three languages and the collection "Atyrau region of the 1920-1930s. Collection of documents and materials" and transferred one copy to the archival library.
In turn, the director of the archive Marat Tolebay expressed gratitude to the scientist and wished success in scientific work to Professor B. Zhumagulov.
