Round Table: “The Legacy of Malik Gabdullin and the Mission of the Young Generation of Lawyers – Rule of Law and Continuity”

On April 11, 2025, Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, in collaboration with the General Prosecutor`s Office of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Almaty City Prosecutor`s Office, hosted a round table discussion titled "The Legacy of Malik Gabdullin and the Mission of the Young Generation of Lawyers - Rule of Law and Continuity."

In his speech at the 4th session of the National Kurultai, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev, highlighted the importance of national unity, patriotism, and the preservation of historical memory. The heroic deeds of Kazakhstani soldiers during the Great Patriotic War remain a powerful symbol of courage, solidarity, and devotion to the Motherland - a memory that must be honored and passed on to future generations.

Among the speakers at the round table were: Gabit Kapezuly Kenzhebayev, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law; Ernur Zeyneshuly Uali, Head of the Department of Human Resources at the General Prosecutor`s Office of Kazakhstan; Nursultan Khamituly Rakyshev, First Deputy Prosecutor of Almaty City; Zamanbek Kasenuly Muratkhanov, an alumnus of Abai KazNPU and Prosecutor of the Legal Information Department in Civil and Administrative Law at the Committee for Legal Statistics and Special Records for Almaty Region; Aruzhan Zhumadildinova, first-year Master`s student of the "7M04201 - Jurisprudence" program; Adil Nurgaliev and Dastan Knyaz, second-year students of the "6B04201 - Judicial and Prosecutorial Activities" program.

The discussion focused on preserving the intellectual and moral legacy of Malik Gabdullin - a distinguished public figure, scholar, and Hero of the Soviet Union - and examined the vital role young legal professionals play in upholding the rule of law and advancing legal awareness in contemporary society.

The event concluded with a shared recognition of the importance of intergenerational dialogue in legal education, the promotion of patriotism, and the cultivation of a strong, values-driven approach to the legal profession.
