А presentation of rare and unpublished works of the 20th-century kazakh intelligentsia took place during the science decade On April 9, 2025, at the Faculty of History and Law of Abai University, a presentation of books dedicated to the legacy of the 20th-century Kazakh intelligentsia was held as part of the Science Decade. The event featured previously unpublished works by Magzhan Zhumabayev, Ilyas Zhansugurov, Bazarkul Daniyarov, Kasym Tynystanov, Ishanqali Mendyhanov, Shamgali Sarybayev, Kazhym Basymov, a collection of documents and materials about Beysembai Kenzhebayev, and the previously unpublished journal Saule.
Speakers at the event included: Gabit Kenzhebayev - Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Dean of the Faculty of History and Law; Sabit Shildebay - Director of the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan; Maralbek Yermukhamet - Head of the "Akhmettanu" Department at the A. Baitursynuly Institute of Linguistics; Bauyrzhan Zhanguttin - Doctor of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, Head of the "DHLab: Digital History and Education Laboratory"; Mayra Sarybai - Candidate of Philological Sciences, keeper of the Sarybayev family archive; and many other leading historians.
A special guest from Kyrgyzstan was Asel Daniyarova, niece of Bazarkul Daniyarov and founder of the foundation named after him. Bazarkul Daniyarov was an educator and enlightener who stood at the origins of primary, secondary, and higher education in Kyrgyzstan. Together with his colleagues, he trained a whole generation of outstanding cultural and educational figures of the republic and developed the first curricula and textbooks.
