Training for children and parents

February 15 is the International Day of Children with Cancer. In this regard, on February 17, 2025, students-interns of KazNPU named after Abai of the Educational program «6B03111 - Training of a practical psychologist» of the Russian and Kazakh departments of Klug Angelina, Ketova Kristina, Bazarbayeva Aruzhan, Gusev Alan, Amirkhanova Azel, Yugai Vladimir, Amangosova Dilara under the guidance of the head of the Department of psychological and social assistance of KazNIIRiO Uteulova Aliya Askarovna We organized and conducted psychological training for children of the children`s department of the Kazakh Scientific Research Institute of Oncology and Radiology (KazNIIRiO). This training was also conducted with parents and their children using safe reagents, fire and nitrogen experiments, and twisting for children. At the end of the training, the children participated in an animation quiz, danced and, most importantly, received small memorable gifts.

During the event, the student trainees interacted not only with the children, but also with the parents, who accompanied the children and used exercises to find resources within themselves, introduced them to self-relaxation techniques. One of the objectives of the training was emotional relief for children and parents, the opportunity to plunge into the world of science and feel like a researcher. The heads of the practical training of students of the educational program «6B03111-Training of a practical psychologist» are Candidate of Psychological Sciences, senior lecturer of the Department of General and Applied Psychology Elmira Dauletovna Abisheva and master`s degree, senior lecturer Saulet Amanzholovna Tukebayeva of KazNPU named after Abai.
