Regional seminar in Petropavlovsk: development of talented schoolchildren and support of teachers

On February 25, 2025, a field regional seminar was held in Petropavlovsk, organized by the Corporate Foundation «El Umiti Foundation» in cooperation with the KSU «Kyzylzhar Daryny» of the Department of Education of the Akimat of the North Kazakhstan region. The event is aimed at supporting talented schoolchildren, improving the psychological state of students and teachers, as well as developing a system for identifying children`s abilities.

The seminar was attended by the head of the Department of General and Applied Psychology of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology of Abai KazNPU, PhD, Associate Professor Gulmira Bekenovna Nietbayeva and Candidate of Psychological Sciences, Acting Associate Professor Elmira Dauletovna Abisheva.

As part of the regional seminar, scientists from Abai KazNPU conducted trainings for 50 educational psychologists on methods for diagnosing abilities and developing «4K» skills (critical thinking, creativity, communication, collaboration). The seminar provided the participants with an opportunity to exchange experiences, master advanced methods of working with talented children and gain new knowledge that will contribute to the development of education in the North Kazakhstan region.
