Round table with international participation «Trends and prospects of development of modern psychological science and practice»

As part of the events of the KazNPU Science Week from April 07 to April 14, 2025, on April 8, 2025, the Department of General and Applied Psychology of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology organized and held a round table with international participation «Trends and prospects for the development of modern psychological science and practice». The purpose of the Round table is to discuss and analyze current trends and prospects for the development of modern psychological science and practice.

The work of the Round Table was carried out in the following sections:
1. Modern issues of general and applied psychology;
2. Clinical psychology in the system of training practical psychologists;
3. The psychology of giftedness in the system of training practical psychologists.

Welcoming remarks to the participants of the Round Table were made by the Dean of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Associate Professor Galiya Abayeva and Head of the Department of General and Applied Psychology, PhD, Associate Professor. Gulmira Nietbayeva.

The Round Table was attended by:

4. Satova Akmaral - Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Professor. The topic of the report is «The theoretical foundations of the training of a practical psychologist to work with gifted children and youth»;
5. Akazhanova Alma - Doctor of Psychological Sciences, Acting Professor. The topic of the report is «Psychological and pedagogical support for inmates of penitentiary institutions».
6. Tapalova Olga - Doctor of Psychological Sciences, research Professor. The topic of the report is «Training of future clinical psychologists».
7. Uteulova Aliya - Master of Social Sciences, Head of the Department of Psychological and Social Assistance at KazNIIOR. The topic of the report is «Psychological support for cancer patients: stress, adaptation and quality of life»;
8. Zhaparov Eldar - Master of Social Sciences, specialist of the KSU «Center for Psychological Support» of the Educational Institution of Almaty. The topic of the report is «Problems of psychodiagnostics of maladaptation in educational institutions in Almaty».
