Scientific trip to Astana of the participants of the scientific project on translation problems

In accordance with the calendar plan of the scientific project AP19680449 "Assessment of the quality of translation: scientific and educational spheres", its implementers from Abai University, comprising representatives of Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Zhumabekova A.K. (scientific supervisor), Cand. of Philosophy Shengelbaeva N.R., PhD Kurkimbayeva A.M., Master Mukhitov A.Z. went on a Scientific trip to Astana from April 6 to 10, 2025.

At the II International Scientific and Practical Conference "Language. Culture. Translation: Intercultural Communication in the Digital Age" at the L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University the Members of the scientific project presented their reports reflecting the results of the internal assessment of the quality of translation of philology textbooks into Kazakh, as well as containing proposals for improving the assessment of the quality of translation in the scientific and educational spheres.

In addition, the members of the scientific project took part in the "Spring School of Translation" organized by the Department of Theory and Practice of Translation of the Philological Faculty of L.N. Gumilyov Eurasian National University in collaboration with the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia), where, within the framework of session meetings, they exchanged views with foreign scientists and domestic practicing translators on current issues of assessing the quality of translation.
