Literary Lounge “Fairy Tale Detective”: An Engaging Event for Primary School Students at NGS Partner School within the Dual Education Framework

On April 23, 2025, NGS (New Generation School) partner school hosted an engaging and educational event titled "Fairy Tale Detective". This literary lounge was organized by third-year intern students of the "Primary Education with ICT" Educational Program (under the guidance of Professor L. Lebedeva), as part of the dual education system and the Subject "Methods of Teaching Educational Subject Literary Reading". Professors Assel Akpaeva and Senior Lecturer Aіуm Tynyskhanova from the Department of Primary Education KazNPU named after Abai, along with second-grade teachers Raushan Bekmuratova and Olga Pogarskaya, actively participated in the preparation and execution of the event.

The event aimed to develop the reading culture and logical thinking of second-grade students through an interactive detective investigation in the world of fairy tales. Children worked in teams to reconstruct fairy tale plots from fragments and identify missing elements, demonstrating their knowledge of literary texts, attention to detail, teamwork, and logical reasoning.

The intern students acted as hosts and team moderators, preparing task cards and didactic materials, thereby reinforcing their pedagogical skills. They also enhanced their ICT competencies by incorporating digital illustrations and multimedia elements into the assignments. At the end of the event, all participants received commemorative diplomas.

This project stands as another successful example of effective collaboration between the Department of Primary Education and the NGS partner school within the dual education framework.
