Evening of poetry of M. Makatayev «Zhyrlaydy Zhurek»

On February 9, 2022, the evening «Zhyrlaydy Zhurek» in memory of Mukagali Makatayev was held. The organizers were students living in the dormitory #2 of the Institute of Natural History and Geography of Abai KazNPU. The event was led by the head of the dormitory Iskakova Gulzhan and the dormitory warden Sattarova Nazerke.

The aim of the evening was to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the outstanding representative of Kazakh literature, to acquaint the youth with the rich creative heritage of the poet, to emphasize the role of his works in the development of national consciousness, to show the power of poetry and to sing his poems and songs.

The hosts of the evening were group students Omirkul Yeldos, Utenbekova Asel, Turganbaeva Aruzhan, Nurgazova Erkezhan, Rinat Nuraly and Lesbek Kydyrzhan. In addition, other active students showed their talents, sang songs, read artistic dedications. At the event video clips about Mukagali Makatayev were shown, interesting questions related to the life and work of the poet were asked and opinions were exchanged. The evening of poetry devoted to the anniversary of M. Makatayev was held at a high level and the students realized the great contribution of Mukagali to the world of poetry.
