On 23 May, 2017, Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) published the results of the national rating of universities and educational programs in which the Institute of Natural Science and Geography of Abai KazNPU Abai were recognized as a leader: 

Bacelor `s  degree:

1) "5В011600 - Geography" - 1st place;

2) "5В011300 - Biology" - 1st place;

3) "5B011200 - Chemistry" - 2nd place. 

Master`s degree:

1) "6М011600 - Geography" - 1st place;

2) "6M011300 - Biology" - 2nd place;

3) "6М011200 - Chemistry" - 3 place.          

The teacher of the Institute of Natural Science and Geography, Doctor of chemical sciences, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Professor Yessen Bekturov entered the Top-30 of the best teachers of universities.
