Kazakh Ornaments on the Amazon (USA) Platform Using the AI Mandala Coloring Book Generator
On April 11, 2025, within the framework of "Science Week," the Department of Pedagogy of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology held a seminar with an intellectual competition on the topic: "Localization of Kazakh Ornaments on the Amazon USA Platform Using the AI Mandala Generator Application."
The event was coordinated by Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer M. Kursabayev.
The aim of the event was to create conditions for the development of the intellectual, creative, and artistic potential of the younger generation through the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) achievements into the educational process across all levels of educational institutions.
The seminar saw active participation from the faculty of the Department of Pedagogy, representatives from other university faculties, and the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute.
During the seminar, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, Senior Lecturer M. Kursabayev delivered a comprehensive report and conducted a hands-on session with students of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.
The intellectual competition involved students from almost all majors of the university, including participants from the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute.
In the competition, students generated Kazakh ornaments using the AI Coloring Book Generator, adapted them into an electronic book format for schoolchildren, and localized the content on platforms such as Amazon (USA) Marketplace and Candle Direct Publishing.
Winners of the intellectual competition:
- 1st place: Nadezhda Detkova, 4th-year student of the Faculty of Arts
- 2nd place: Akbope Bektay and Meruert Nurgaliyeva, 1st-year students of the Faculty of Pedagogy and Psychology; Anel Turdaky and Yerasyl Ibragim, 1st-year students of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Geography
- 3rd place: Karina Niyazova, 4th-year student of the Sorbonne-Kazakhstan Institute; Nurmukhammed Shapikh and Sakenuly Kadyrzhan, 1st-year students of the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics and Informatics; Togzhan Koblandina, 1st-year student of the Faculty of Philology
