Laboratory-based projects in 2023 included:

1. AP09259248 «Occurrence of concentration gravitational convection in multicomponent diffusion in stably - stratified media», Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2021 - 2023) agreement №199/36-21-23 from 15 April 2021.

Results of work: Stability of mechanical equilibrium was analyzed and computational algorithms were developed to determine optimal thermobaric and concentration conditions of kinetic regimes of mixing in multicomponent mixtures, in which there is a change from diffusive to convective regimes.

Model of kinetic transition «diffusion - convection» is developed. Spectrum of thermophysical and geometrical parameters causing occurrence of supercritical flows in isothermal multicomponent gas mixtures has been determined.

Experimental and numerical conditions of occurrence and development of convective flows in vertical channels of given geometry in presence of different admixtures of components and different pressures have been studied. Time of occurrence of convection structures, their frequency of occurrence in vertical channels and their subsequent dynamics are numerically estimated. Concentration distributions were obtained and pressure pulsations during the formation of convection structures were calculated. Experimentally time dependences of mixing intensity at different pressures and initial compositions were obtained.

Main constructive and technical-economic indicators: Model of kinetic transition «diffusion - convection» is developed. Efficiency: Improvement of quality of manufactured products. The proposed techniques have great advantages in comparison with others.

Degree of implementation: High. Field of application: Target consumers of obtained results are engineering companies, scientists dealing with convective heat and mass transfer in gas mixtures, as well as design laboratories of oil and gas enterprises.

2. AP14870237 «Development of an innovative method of purification of isothermal gas mixtures from carbon dioxide under conditions of instability of mechanical equilibrium», Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan (2022 - 2024), agreement №235/30-22-24 from 18 October 2022.

Results of work: Modification of the theoretical model of convective stability for the case of ternary isothermal gas systems containing component with real properties (carbon dioxide, freon and other greenhouse gases) is performed. Diffusion, motion, state and continuity equations are solved jointly, which allows to obtain nonlinear distributions of component concentrations in model channel. Modeling of concentration distributions of system components in channels of different shapes is conducted. Velocity distributions of diffusing components are obtained.

Main constructive and technical-economic parameters: Model of kinetic transition «diffusion - convection» is developed, evolution of supercritical flows is modeled. Degree of implementation: High. Efficiency: Improvement of quality of manufactured products. Proposed methods have great advantages in comparison with others. Field of application: Industrial enterprises, scientific research institutes.
